July 9: In our desire to be very transparent with our camper families, we wanted you to know we were made aware of a staff member that worked Week 5 has tested positive for COVID. The staff member was not ill at camp but became ill in the middle of the night on July 1. To protect everyone, we did not allow that person to return to camp before test results were known. As an additional firewall, all staff in that cohort were not on staff for week 5. The staff member received a positive result July 9th and we notified all campers in that specific cohort of        the confirmed case and exposure.

July 13: One of our CT campers recieved a positive diagnosis of COVID. They were last present week 6 on July 9, 2020. The camper was not ill at camp, but began showing symptoms late thursday, July 9th. The camper did not return the next day. As per our protocols, all camper families were notified in that specific cohort of the positive diagnosis. As an additional firewall, all staff in that cohort during week 6 were contacted. Any of those that were schedules to work week 7 have been replaced and are beginning their 14-day quarantine.

As always, we thank you for your continued support of CT. If you have any questions,      please don’t hesitate to contact us: info@campthurman.org.
