Camp is all outdoors, all the time. Dressing right helps us conquer anything nature throws our way.
A couple of pointers on how to dress for camp:
- Clothes WILL get dirty. Don’t wear anything that you care about getting stains on.
- Closed-toe shoes are a must for everybody. (No, socks with sandals are not closed-toed)
- Things that hold heat, like jeans, are not going to be comfortable out in the Texas heat.
- Items that help block out sun, like hats, are great!
- Dri-fit shirts can be worn everywhere around camp, even the pool.
- Plan on wearing your swim suit all day. We don’t have the facilities for changing rooms.
- Don’t wear anything expensive, like jewelry or collector sneakers.
A couple of reminders about our swimwear policy:
We ask that girls who have finished 3rd grade and up to wear a one piece swim suit, or a “tankini” with no more than one inch of separation.
We ask that boys have trunks that do not cut-off any higher than the knee-caps.
